Ductility, Malleability, Machinability, Formability

Ductility:
It is the ability of material to deform plastically without repture under tensile load. This property facilitates the wire drawing operation.
A ductile material can be drawn out into fine wire without fracture.

Malleability:
It is the ability of material to deform plastically without repture under Compressive load.

Machinability:
It is the ability of a material on which we can cut (or) remove the material in the form of chips by cutting tool by various operations. Machining operations such as Turning, tapering, drilling, milling, facing etc.,
Machinability depends upon mechanical and physical properties of a metal.

Formability:
It is the property of a metal, on which different shapes and sizes can be formed (pressed by forging).
Formability depends upon structure and grain size.
