BIO-DIVERSITY: It
is the combination of two words Biological & Diversity. Biological
means all the living things in this planet, & diversity refers to
the variability (or) differences (or) classification among living things.
It is defined as the Variability among living things from all sources
Bio Diversity is mainly Classified into 3 types
1.Habitat Diversity (EcoSystem)
Life exists in soil, air, water etc., Living things were habituated to certain conditions on this earth to live their life. in this diversity, every living thing is depend upon other living or non living thing. For example fishes were habituated to water & depend upon its conditions.
Living things were completely depend on particular environment for the existence of their life. the variations among the habit of living style of all the living organisms is called Habitat Diversity.
2.Species Diversity
Species diversity is the classification of all living organisms. it includes all animals, birds, plants, fungi, bacteria, & all micro-Organisms. Around 1.5million (15,00,000) species were named, there is yet to find about 10 to 100 million species more.
Species diversity measures the number of species in a community & distribution of each species within the community.
In Biodiversity, all living things are connected to other living things & their non-living environment (rocks, rivers etc.,).
